As a characteristic and key part of China's medical and health service,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has played a positive role in the prevention and treatment of major epidemics.However,how to give full play to its advantages in emergency rescue management still needs further exploration and development.To enhance the emergency rescue capabilities of TCM institutions in China,it is essential for TCM to engage comprehensively in emergency rescue management.This involves integrating the strengths of TCM first aid techniques and disease prevention strategies with the existing emergency response framework,thereby fostering a synergistic development of advantages.Ultimately,this will facilitate the establishment of an integrated emergency rescue management system that harmonizes traditional Chinese and Western medical practices while reflecting distinct Chinese characteristics.
