A calibration system based on fixed portal CMM for barcode leveling rod
A special-purpose calibration system has been developed to calibrate the barcode leveling rod. This system consists of a fixed-bridge coordinate measuring machine(CMM),a plane mirror, and a digital level.A highly precise measurement system is formed after meticulous central alignment adjust-ments.Within this system, the horizontally positioned barcode leveling rod is optically transformed into a vertical image via the plane mirror, which is then captured and decoded by the digital level to derive the displayed value of the barcode rod. These values are compiled alongside corresponding standard displace-ment values into a dataset.Fitting by the piecewise linear least squares, the linear slope is extracted and utilized as the compensation factor for the true length per meter of the calibrated barcode rod. This system boasts a simple implementation process, minimal floor space, high precision, and a scientifically rigorous approach to data assessment.
