A merging method of topographic map database based on ArcGIS
The database is one of the most popular products from surveying and mapping projects.In the production of digital line graphics in large area,it is very necessary to divide the large mapping area into operation blocks,and store the topographic map database products in operation block,hence,the the merging and processing process is very complex,and too much time is needed but low efficiency when manual method is used.In order to solve the problems above,a method based on ArcGIS Model Builder to automatically and quickly merge the block stored databases is proposed and detailed in this paper,it is mainly used for merging digital line graphic block libraries stored in the databases.It is proved in practice that the method is simple,it can effectively reduce the workloads and error rate from manual database merging.
