In this paper, the spatial statistical analysis is utilized to make research on the population distribution mode and variation trend of Hainan Province under GIS platform, which radically transform the concept and improve the method of traditional statistic analysis. The results show that there exists significant spatial clustering of the population distribution in Hainan Province. The study also shows that the integration of spatial statistics analysis with GIS can well expand and strengthen the spatial analysis functions of GIS.
