User experience-guided We-Map interface design and eye-tracking evaluation
As a new type of map product targeting the general public and possessing self-media attributes,We-Map is characterized by its ease of production and ease of dissemination. In response to the lack of a design method for the development of the We-Map platform, this article takes an experience-oriented approach, combines the functional characteristics of We-Map,and based on principles of interface design, applies psychology and human-computer efficiency theory to explore a design method suitable for the We-Map platform.A prototype design is completed, which is then compared with a prototype design of mainstream map drawing products through eye-tracking experiments and subjective evaluations. The experimental results indicate that the current platform prototype is significantly superior to the prototype design of mainstream map drawing products. This proves that the interface of this mapping platform is well suited to the characteristics of We-Map and can meet the mapping needs of current We-Map products, providing guidance for the development of the We-Map platform.
