Study on the cooling effect of parks in the central urban area of Urumqi
In view of the urban heat island effect caused by rapid urbanization, based on Landsat 8 images,GIS spatial analysis and correlation analysis were used to explore the cooling effect of 14 urban parks in Urumqi city center on the surrounding thermal environment. The results showed that the low temperature areas in the park were widely distributed, forming a significant cold island effect; All parks had a cooling effect on the surrounding thermal environment, but the cooling amplitude and cooling range of different parks were different, the average cooling amplitude was 7.44 ℃,and the optimal cooling range was 200 m;There was no significant correlation between the average temperature and the shape of the park, the area of water body was the most significantly correlated with the average temperature and cooling range of the park, and the green space area was the most significantly correlated with the cooling amplitude. The study found that parks were an effective measure to alleviate the urban heat island effect in arid areas, and provided a reference for optimizing the landscape pattern of urban parks in arid areas in western China.
