Feasibility comprehensive geological analysis of Carbonate gas reservoir reconstruction:A case study of WSC Carboniferous gas reservoir in Eastern Sichuan
The construction of gas storage is an important project for seasonal peak shaving and ensuring stable gas supply. The comprehensive geological analysis of the feasibility of gas storage is the basis for the evaluation of gas storage, and there are few relevant studies in China.Based on the geological characteristics of WSC Carboniferous gas reservoir in Eastern Sichuan and the existing exploration and production data, the idea and process of reconstructing gas storage from fractured carbonate reservoirs with fault development are established.Through the analysis of the sedimentary and reservoir distribution characteristics of the Carboniferous gas reservoirs,it is considered that the fracture-pore reservoirs are dominated by type Ⅱ and Ⅲ reservoirs. The physical properties of the reservoirs are the best in the lower part of the second member of the Yellow River. The southern Chi30-Chil0-Chi18 well area is the most favorable reservoir development area. The nine major faults developed in the area control the shape and scale of the structural traps. On the basis of the study of reservoir characteristics, the comprehensive geological analysis is carried out in the aspects of cap rock integrity, fault stability and reservoir stability. It is considered that the cap rock in the study area has strong covering power, large breakthrough pressure, good fault sealing and high porosity and permeability of reservoir space.Based on the evaluation results of reservoir physical properties, fault and cap rock sealing,it is considered that the geological conditions of Carboniferous gas reservoirs in the study area are good, and it is suitable for gas storage reconstruction from the perspective of geological evaluation.
