Study on a new method for rapid determination of roundness sphericity of unconventional oil and gas fracturing proppant
The performance of fracturing proppant is very important for reservoir hydraulic fracturing design,and roundness and sphericity is an important index of performance parameters.For the same proppant,the higher roundness value and sphericity value,the stronger the anti-breaking ability,and the greater fracture conductivity of the proppant.The traditional roundness and sphericity measurement is mainly realized by the traditional empirical method of manual visual inspection,which is subjective and relatively inefficient.Based on optical microscope imaging combined with computer image technology,a new method for rapid determination of roundness sphericity of fracturing proppant is proposed,that is,the roundness algorithm of mean curvature radius fitting of corner points and the sphericity algorithm of multiple linear regression fitting.The detection results show that the detection results on the Krumbein-Sloss plate are close to the standard template results,and the maximum error is only 3.1%.Compared with the results of the traditional manual visual method,the maximum error of the test results is only 6%,which meets the standard requirements.At the same time,it also can realize the rapid automatic detection of the roundness and sphericity of a large number of fracturing proppants,which greatly reduces the experimental cost and provides technical reference for the optimization of proppant performance and cost reduction and efficiency increase in field fracturing design.
