Industrial structure upgrading serves as a significant engine to promote high-quality economic development.Based on panel data of 11 provinces along the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2011 to 2020,we constructed an index system of evaluating high-quality economic development level and applied the entropy method to assess the impact and regional heterogeneity of industrial structure upgrading on high-quality economic development.Our research reveals that while industrial structure rationalization has a significant impact on high-quality economic development in the Yangtze River Economic Belt,the upgrading of industrial structure does not have the same effect and exhibits obvious regional heterogeneity.Based on quantitative analysis results,we offered suggestions to promote high-quality economic development from perspectives of the entire region,the upstream,midstream,and downstream areas of Yangtze River Economic Belt.
