Research on the Impact of Consumer Infrastructure Construction on the Same Group Effect of Resident Consumption
Based on the theory of Relative Income Consumption, this article uses household micro data to empirically ana-lyze the impact of consumer infrastructure on the same group effect of consumption among residents. The results indicate that firstly, the consumption concept of residents is influenced by living environment factors, and the improvement of consumption infrastructure can significantly enhance the influence of peer consumption on resident consumption.Secondly, the analysis of the mechanism of action reveals that the construction of consumer infrastructure can improve the same group effect of resident consumption by promoting the upgrading of resident consumption structure and enriching resident social networks.Thirdly, the impact of consumer infrastructure construction on the consumption of different types of households has significant heterogenei-ty,with urban and middle-income households being more affected by the same group effect. Therefore,it is recommended that the government improve the modern consumption infrastructure system, promote the upgrading of consumer infrastructure, and improve the incentive system for the construction of consumer infrastructure.
