Research on the Impact of Fiscal Decentralization on the Green Transformation of China's Economy
Based on the provincial panel data of 30 provinces(autonomous regions and munici-palities)in China from 2009 to 2019,this paper empirically analyzes the impact of fiscal decen-tralization on provincial economic green transformation and its impact path by using a spatial e-conometric model and a mediating effect model.The results show that:during the sample period,fiscal decentralization has a significant role in promoting the green transformation of the local e-conomy,but it will hinder the process of economic green transformation in adjacent regions.There is a mediating effect of the local government behavior,that is,fiscal decentralization main-ly promotes the green economic transformation by promoting the reasonable competition of local governments and improving the intensity of local government financial science and technology in-vestment.The improvement of fiscal decentralization will aggravate the local protectionist behav-ior in local and adjacent areas,but the impact of local protectionist behavior on the green econom-ic transformation is not significant.
