Comparative Test of High Quality Edible Sweet Potato Cultivar(Lines)
In order to breed high quality edible sweet potato cultivars met the market demand,the main agronomic traits,fresh potato yield and taste of five new sweet potato cultivars were compared by the crossbreeding method of sweet potato group with Nanshu88 as the control.The results showed that 19-16 had the best performance.The fresh sweet potato yield was the highest of 1 880.94 kg/667 m2,which was 3.58％higher than that of the control.The flesh color was purple.The percentage of large and medium potato was 20.1％.Its edible quality was excellent and the average score of comprehensive evaluation of taste was 77.5,which could be further demonstrated and promoted as a new cultivar of high quality edible sweet potato.
