Comparison of Main Atmospheric Temperature Factors in Northern Distribution Areas of Apple Snail[Pomacea canaliculata(Lamarck,1819)]
Based on the regional survey of apple snail[Pomacea canaliculata(Lamarck,1819)],the northernmost distribution areas of apple snail invasion areas in Asia was divided into four samples,i.e."upper Yangtze River"(Yunnan,Sichuan,Chongqing),"middle Yangtze River"(Hubei),"lower Yangtze River"(Anhui,Jiangsu,Shanghai)and"Korea-Japan".Data of annual average temperature,January average temperature,January average daily maximum temperature and January average daily minimum temperature of the four samples were obtained. The corresponding temperature factor values of the southernmost distribution area of apple snail origin area in South America(July corresponding to January in the Northern Hemisphere)were assumed to be the adaptive theoretical value of critical low-temperature(TVCLT).The differences between the mean value of temperature factor of the samples and the TVCLT were compared, and the differences among the four samples were also compared. The results showed that when apple snail was spread to areas outside its original area,it could adapt to the worse temperature environment than the original area, and there was still room to move northward on the basis of the current northern distribution areas of apple snail in China.
