Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC),the CPC Central Commit-tee with General Secretary Xi Jinping as the core has stood at the strategic height of training new people to shoulder the great task of national rejuvenation,which has provided the fundamental guidance for the ideological and politi-cal education in colleges and universities.The mission and responsibility of the ideological and political work in col-leges and universities should be clearly recognized from the political level,the goals and requirements of the ideo-logical and political work in colleges and universities should be clearly defined from the time background,and the laws and characteristics of the ideological and political work in colleges and universities should be grasps from the educational objects to strengthen and improve the ideological and political education work in colleges and universi-ties.Under the background of"two overall situations",the risks and challenges of ideological and political education in colleges and universities are increasing day by day.In response to various risks and challenges,it is necessary to strengthen the ability to resist risks and do a good job in the mission and responsibility of consolidating the founda-tion and casting the soul.It is necessary to constantly broaden the pattern of ideological and political education in colleges and universities,strengthen the construction of"ideological and political"courses,strengthen the theoreti-cal armed,and persist in cultivating people with the Xi Jinping's thoughts of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.Measures should be taken to optimize the teaching of ideological and political courses to give full play to the key role of ideological and political theory courses.Attention should also be paid to network construction to build a good network propaganda ideological education work of college public opinion highland.Adhere to the"three whole education",to build up the joint force of ideological and political education in colleges and universi-ties.The"three-round education"should be carried out to build up the ideological and political education of colleg-es and universities with the same direction of the joint force.
