The textbook"Physical Education Teaching Theory"(Third Edition)published by Higher Education Press has undergone two revisions since 2005,playing a positive role in the construction of physical education cours-es,talent cultivation,and teaching ability enhancement in universities.However,there are still some problems that need to be explored and revised in the teaching practice of undergraduate physical education.There are problems and disputes in the definition of individual concepts,and the expression of content lacks the sense of the Times and timeliness.There are some contradictions and logical errors in the exposition of content and theme.Some ideas and knowledge are not up to date.Some important concepts are not mentioned or interpreted in detail in the textbook,and some important knowledge points need to be extended and supplemented.There still exist some grammatical er-rors,misspellings and expression errors in the textbook text.It is necessary to sort out,analyze and discuss these problems in order to effectively promote the curriculum construction of physical education major in colleges and uni-versities,and constantly adapt to the new goals and requirements of education and teaching reform for the training of physical education professionals in higher education.
