Analysis on the Utilization of Contemporary Value of Beiting Old City Site
World Heritage refers to the rare and irreplaceable wealth of mankind recognized by UNESCO and the World Heritage Committee,which are the cultural relics,monuments and natural landscapes with outstanding significance and universal value recognized by all mankind. In 2014,China,Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan jointly sub-mitted the "Silk Road:The "Network of Changan-Tianshan Corridor" cultural heritage application project was se-lected into the World Heritage List,and the Beiting Old City and its affiliated building Xida Temple in Changji Pre-fecture were listed among them,becoming the only World cultural heritage and outstanding representative of Chi-nese traditional culture and Chinese civilization in northern Xinjiang. Therefore,describing the world cultural heri-tage values of Beiting Old City and Xida Temple,excavating and refining their contemporary values has become the urgent research work to be completed. Based on this,the specific suggestions for activating the use of this cultural heritage can provide suggestions for further improving the inheritance and development of historical and cultural heritage.
