Li Jian is a Xinjiang writer who entered the literary world with the novel Mulei River. His collection of novels The Land of Cord Blood was released by the People's Literature Publishing House in 2022. This collection of works attempts to link the Xinjiang's turbulent situation during the Republic of China to the fate of ordinary peo-ple. This reflects the author's efforts to trace the diverse and integrated culture of Xinjiang and "tell the story of Xinjiang well".
