The appraisal of civil buildings involved in the engineering testing industry mainly includes reliability ap-praisal,seismic performance appraisal and dangerous house appraisal.Starting from the background of seismic per-formance appraisal,this paper introduces the defects in the"Building Seismic Appraisal Standard"GB 50023-2009 and the improvement of the"General Specification for Appraisal and Reinforcement of Existing Buildings"GB 55021-2021.Combined with the seismic performance appraisal example of a comprehensive building with a frame structure in a certain university,the main ideas of seismic performance appraisal of civil buildings are summarized,which has a certain reference significance for the seismic performance appraisal of similar engineering projects.
