Compared with public vocational colleges supported by national finance,vocational colleges run by state-owned enterprises have noticeable advantages in terms of teacher practice,social training,internship and employ-ment.However,the support received in terms of per student funding and special financial subsidies is insufficient.Taking vocational colleges run by state-owned enterprises in Hubei Province as the research object,this paper analy-zes the necessity for such colleges to receive national financial support from three aspects,namely improving market competitiveness,increasing high-quality educational resources,and improving educational quality.and discusses fea-sibility from three aspects of Policies and regulations,financial capabilities,and successful experiences.At present,there are still a series of challenges such as unclear school identity and difficulties in financial supervision.In view of that,three suggestions are proposed to promote the implementation of financial support policies,namely establis-hing financial support standards,establishing a safety supervision system,and introducing performance evaluation mechanisms.
