Controllable Self-assembly and Characterization of Polystyrene b-Polyvinylpyridine Supramolecular
Ordered structures formed by block copolymer supramolecular self-assembly can provide more stable bonding sites than covalent bonds. An effective and fast annealing method is still a hot research topic in block copolymer self-assembly technology. The columnar supramolecular assemblage was prepared by using block copolymer polystyrene-b-poly(4-vinylpyridine)(PS-b-P4VP)and 3-n 15alkylphenol(PDP)as model system and trichloromethane as solvent. There is a strong hydrogen bond between functional chain segment P4VP and small molecule PDP.In the process of saturated chloroform steam annealing, highly ordered cylindrical solid samples are prepared by controlling the annealing time. The evolution process of columnar structure is investigated in detail, and its applications in the preparation of porous carbon materials, cosmetics nanocarrier technology, energy storage/conversion device and so on are expanded.
