Research Progress of Microbial Leaching Technology Applied in the Recycling of WPCBs
Waste circuit boards(WPCBs)are composed of organic epoxy resins,base metals and precious metals,which are characterized by a high recovery value,heavy pollution and high treatment difficulties.Therefore,their recycling treatment and disposal have attracted much attention.Taking WPCBs as an example,this paper reviews the application research of microbial leaching technology in its metal recovery,including microbial species(acidophilic bacteria,fungi and cyanogen-producing microorganisms),leaching mechanism and optimization of leaching process methods.Microbial leaching technology is worthy of further research and engineering application in the future,which can effectively recover rare and precious metals,reduce treatment costs,and improve the economy of the process.
