Study on electric heating and temperature sensitivity of carbon fiber paper
Carbon fiber paper can be used as an electric heating element in heating floor to realize the integration of floor heating. In order to avoid potential safety hazards in its use,it is necessary to study the mechanism of electrothermal and negative temperature coefficient(NTC)effect of carbon fiber in carbon fiber paper. In order to explore the rule of electrothermal and resistance change with temperature of carbon fiber paper, the thermal and temperature-sensitive effects of carbon fiber monofilaments, lap monofilaments, parallel monofilaments, and carbon fiber paper were analyzed by means of infrared thermal imager, stereo microscope and other instruments. It was found that the surface temperature of carbon fiber monofilaments, lap monofilaments and carbon fiber sheet rised linearly with the increased power,in addition, the temperature of monofilaments presented a good GaussAmp equation curve in length and vertical directions. The temperature change between the monofilaments could be controlled within 1 ℃ by adjusting the fiber monofilaments distance to be equal to or less than 0.8 cm.Moreover, the resistance of the heating element decreased sharply with the increased temperature at the initial heating stage. The resistance change was stable when the carbon fiber monofilaments and paper were loaded with 80 mW and 2 000 mW power, respectively, which indicating that carbon fiber monofilaments and carbon fiber paper had obvious NTC effect. Moreover, the NTC and electrothermal effects of the lap monofilaments in the heating element play a leading role in the carbon fiber paper, which has a positive guiding significance for the preparation of suitable heating element.
