Research progresson adsorption of fluoride by metal-based adsorbents and their composites
The fluorosis caused by fluoride wastewater discharged from chemical, smelting, battery and other industries has attracted much attention. The advantages and disadvantages of precipitation, membrane treatment, ion exchange, and adsorption technique have been analyzed.Adsorption method is considered to be a promising method for fluoride removal in water due to its simple operation and economical efficiency. In this paper, the fluoride removal performance of aluminum-based,iron-based,rare earth-based and metal-organic framework adsorbents and their modified materials in fluoride wastewater were summarized and evaluated, and the preparation processes, defluorination mechanisms and external influencing factors were also analyzed. It was found that the material crystal form can determine the adsorption energy of the adsorption process.A large specific surface area can provide more active sites in the adsorption process, and a good pore structure can reduce the adsorption mass transfer resistance and improve the adsorption performance. It was also found that the strengthening of functional groups on the surface of the material and the composite synergy of different metal materials can improve the defluorination efficiency of the adsorbent. In conclusion this paper provides a reference for the preparation of new and efficient fluoride removal materials in the future, puts forward the problems that need to be solved in the field of adsorption fluoride removal, and looks ahead the development of metal-based adsorbents in the field of fluoride removal.
