Based on the analysis of the current situation,importance and implementing ways of music education cour-ses offered in science and engineering colleges,it is found that there are deficiencies in such courses in the aspects of the value cognition,degree of emphasis,type contents and teaching management.This paper proposes such ways as offering diversified music courses,carrying out practical music teaching activities,improving music teachers'com-prehensive quality,and improving the evaluation mechanism of music education,to perfect the mode of implementa-tion of aesthetic education in science and engineering colleges and universities as well as cultivating more high-level science and engineering talents with creativity and comprehensive quality.
