The Translation and Reading of Milan Kundera's Works in China(1985-2022)
Since entering China in the 1980s,the works of Milan Kundera have experienced two climaxes in translation field and numerous reading booms.The over 30 years'translation and reading history of Milan Kundera's works in China has demonstrated that understandings of China's translation field,reading field and research field to the writer and his works are of different motiva-tions and characteristics.From theTotalitarian Warrior in the 1980s to Petty-Bourgeoisie Writers in the 2000s,Milan Kundera,as a writer at first,has changed his identities for many times during his continuous interactions with China.In 2015,with the further promotion of economic growth as well as the globalization,Chinese people were generally decadent in their spiritual world,bringing a new group of readers to Milan Kundera against the challenge of spiritual crisis.The readers,picking up the lit-eracy essence of Milan Kundera's works again and rejecting the platitudinous political perspective,have accessed his works from the aesthetics view and obtained the nature of life again through the spirituality of literature.
