Development of Preschool Education in China under the Background of Low Fertility Rate:Current Situa-tion,Difficulties and Solutions
The low birth rate has had a significant impact on preschool education in China,with a nationwide decreasing trend in the number of children enrolling kindergarten and children in kindergarten,and the number of kindergar-tens as well.The low birth rate poses dilemma to the development of preschool education,and the uneven distribu-tion of new births increases the difficulty of allocating educational resources.The decrease in the number of new births leads to difficulties in enrollment in kindergartens,and the decrease in the number of children in kindergar-tens increases the difficulty of kindergarten management and operation.The contradiction is highlighted with the im-balance between parents' demand and the supply for high-quality teacher resources.Therefore,the government should scientifically plan and reasonably layout,dynamically adjust preschool education resources,and provide pol-icy support to assist the development of high-quality kindergartens.Kindergartens should extend their social service functions and achieve the transformation of integrated childcare,cultivate"internal skills"to improve the quality of park management,and optimize the faculty structure and adjust the enrollment plan for preschool education.
