Study on the Seismic Performance Improvement and Livability Modification of Grandmother's House of the Mosuo Minority in Ninglang
In recent years,natural disasters have occurred frequently and increasing numbers of visitors come to the ethnic minority areas,resulting in dual impacts of nature and humans on the sustainable inheritance of traditional Mosuo dwellings in Ninglang.Thus,there is an urgent need to adopt rational protection and development means for these dwellings.Taking the Mosuo grandmother's house as the object,this paper employed field survey and literature research using engineering expertise,fundamental principles of mechanics and theories related to livable architecture to analyze the status and problems of Mosuo dwellings and explore the methods to improve the seismic performance of these traditional dwellings and the realization paths of livability modification,hoping to help promote the inheritance and development of the grandmother's house,a precious residential culture in the ethnic minority of Mosuo.
