Fairness Performance Evaluation of Urban Parks Based on Differential Justice
With the idea of spatial justice, this paper framed a fair performance evaluation method for urban parks based on differential justice, and the key part was the identification of the parks serving disadvantaged groups.Taking the central urban area of Chongqing as a case, this paper applied the Gini coefficient and Lorentz curve to study the fairness difference between the parks serving the permanent residents, the elderly, children, and the unemployed, and identify the disadvantaged groups served by the parks through data quantification. The results suggested that this method can quantify the service level of parks for various groups in a convenient and objective manner, with excellent accessibility; The park resources for the permanent residents in the central urban area of Chongqing are richer than those for the several other groups; The elderly and the unemployed have disadvantages in park accessibility and park areas, respectively; The service Gini coefficient of the parks for the four type of groups is between 0.56 and 0.72,indicating that the fairness layout of the parks in the central urban area needs to be optimized.
