Study on Detecting the Strength-measuring Curve for the Compressive Strength of the Extra-fine Sand Masonry Mortar with the Penetration Method
In response to the performance differences of the ultra-fine sand masonry mortar in Chongqing,mortar specimens with different strength levels were designed and manufactured,their penetration depth and compressive strength were measured in pairs,and a special strength-measuring curve was established to detect the compressive strength of the ultra-fine sand masonry mortar with the penetration method.The experimental results verified the detection error in the unified strength-measuring curve with the penetration method applied to the fine sand masonry mortar in Chongqing.Also,it indicated that the established special strength-measuring curve shows greater detection accuracy than the unified strength-measuring curve and obtains the strength of the masonry mortar closer to the actual one.The special strength-measuring curve can not only serve as a reference for the strength detection and appraisal of the mortar in existing masonry structures,but also serves as the basic data for the compilation of local standards for the strength detecting of the masonry mortar with the penetration method.
