Application of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Aerial Photogrammetry Technology in Earthwork MeasurementA Case Study of a Power Plant Construction in Lingang,Shanghai
Earthwork measurement is an integral part of engineering surveying.Traditional methods of earthwork measurement, primarily employing total stations,GPS-RTK,etc.,suffer from low efficiency and high costs, failing to meet the requirements of modern engineering construction for informatization, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.This study takes the construction of a power plant in Lingang,Shanghai as a case study and applies UAV aerial survey technology to earthwork measurement.Two-dimensional images collected by the UAV undergo image processing to generate a three-dimensional model.Point cloud files are extracted from the three-dimensional model, and the point cloud is thinned out.Subsequently,Cass9.1 software is utilized to calculate the earthwork volume. The calcaulated earthwork volume is then compared with the earthwork volume measured by GPS-RTK to obtain measurement results that comply with engineering surveying standards.
