Study and Application of Cross-Sectional Interaction between Two Tunnels
With the increasing prevalence of spatially intersecting tunnels, uncertainties such as spatial distance, construction sequence, and geological terrain must be managed to ensure structural safety through measures like minimizing disturbances, enhancing support parameters, and strengthening monitoring. This paper uses the first-stage project(Section II)in the core area of the Along-Mountain Freight Transport Channel(Xintu Avenue)as a case study to discuss the reinforcement design of the intersecting section of tunnels.Numerical simulation is employed to calculate the mutual effects between the two tunnels, providing insights for the design of similar projects in the future.
