Application Research of BIM Technology in Prefabricated MEP Installation
Prefabricated MEP(Mechanical,Electrical,Plumbing)installation emphasizes effective coordination among the three specialties of plumbing,electrical,and HVAC(Heating,Ventilation,and Air Conditioning).It also demands high-quality production of prefabricated components.BIM(Building Information Modeling)technology provides effective support for the implementation of prefabricated MEP installation techniques.This paper,based on the specific requirements of MEP installation,systematically introduces the application characteristics of BIM technology.It discusses the advantages of BIM in MEP installation and highlights the specific features of prefabricated MEP installation.The study focuses on the comprehensive application of BIM technology throughout the MEP installation process,including stages such as drawing design,component production,transportation of components,on-site construction,and project management.This research aims to provide valuable insights for professionals involved in prefabricated MEP installation projects.
