Research on Safety Management of Deep Foundation Pit Construction in Dense Urban Areas——Taking a Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital Project as an Example
With the acceleration of urbanization, the utilization of high-rise buildings and underground spaces has become increasingly prevalent, leading to a surge in deep foundation pit projects. However, deep foundation pit engineering construction accidents are on the rise, posing significant risks of mass casualties and severe consequences. The primary cause lies in inadequate management experience and inadequate process control measures.Over the past decade, deep foundation pit excavation and support have emerged as a major concern in China's geotechnical engineering field. This paper, taking a Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital project as a case study, delves into the types, scopes of application, and construction safety risks associated with deep foundation pits.Furthermore,it summarizes safety management experiences garnered from urban areas with dense construction, aiming to provide valuable insights and guidance for similar projects.
