Research on the Planar Column Grid Design of Skew-Oriented Automobile Garages——A Case Study of 60° Skew-Parking Configuration
This paper delves into the principles of planar column grid design for skew-oriented automobile garages, specifically utilizing the 60 ° skew-parking configuration as a representative case. The investigation encompasses technical aspects such as the cross-sectional geometry and dimensions of frame columns, the spatial dimensions(bays)of the column grid, the optimization of parking space allocation within each bay,the depth-wise dimensioning of the column grid, the interplay between the column grid and parking spaces, and considerations for accessible parking facilities.Furthermore, tailored design guidelines are presented for two distinct garage types:standalone garages and attached garages.A comparative analysis is undertaken between the 60° skew-parking configuration and the vertically aligned parking method prevalent in practical construction projects, examining their respective suitability for varied application contexts. The ultimate objective is to enrich the design repertoire and elevate the design standards of automobile garages.
