Resident Visions and Planning Gamess:The Street Vendor Economy in Alleys and Lanes
Due to the impact of the pandemic,the street vendor economy flourished after the easing of national policies in 2020.As a supplement to the traditional economy,the street vendor economy boasts advantages such as low risk,high flexibility,and low barriers to entry,making it a crucial link in promoting economic circulation and development.However,while the street vendor economy is popular among the public,it also poses challenges to traditional urban planning,leading to difficulties in urban planning management.Taking the East-West Embankment Street in Jingzhou as an example,this paper explores the causes and types of the street vendor economy in alleyways,as well as the discrepancies between residents'needs and existing planning.
