Detection Method of Internal Defects in Large Bridge Piles Based on Ultrasonic Transmission Method
Conventional detection methods for defects in bridge piles, such as broken piles and segregation, often fail to identify minor internal defects, thus unable to meet the requirements for pile defect detection. Therefore,a detection method for internal defects in large bridge piles based on the ultrasonic transmission technique is proposed. This method extracts the acoustic wave variation characteristics of internal defects in large bridge piles and utilizes the ultrasonic transmission technique to identify defect categories including sediment, hole wall collapse, and concrete segregation.By detecting the acoustic medium of internal defects in bridge piles using the ultrasonic transmission technique, the abrupt changes in acoustic medium at the interface between the defect location and normal concrete are analyzed and used as indicators for internal defect detection, thereby achieving precise detection of internal defects in piles.Case studies demonstrate that this method offers higher detection accuracy, meets the requirements for pile defect detection, and has significant application value.
