During the Song-Mongol(Yuan Dynasty)War,the Sichuan military and civilians successfully resisted the Mongol(Yuan Dynasty)army's decades-long attacks by relying on a rigorous mountain fortress defense system.To analyze and summarize the characteristics of the urban regional defense system within this system,this paper takes Chongqing Prefecture,a core city,as an example.It analyzes the overall layout,regional system,and urban defense of Chongqing Prefecture,and combines relevant historical records and other research findings on cities to summarize the defense system framework of Chongqing Prefecture in its core area during the late Southern Song Dynasty.
