Taking Yikoukua Village in Yunnan Province as a case study, this research explores strategies for the preservation and development of intangible cultural heritage(ICH)in traditional villages. The findings reveal that ICH plays a positive role in enhancing villagers'cultural identity and community cohesion, while also generating economic benefits through cultural product sales and tourism activities.Furthermore, the study proposes a symbiotic model for ICH preservation and development, emphasizing the interactive collaboration among the government, villagers, and ICH projects.Recommendations include increasing initial financial support from the government and encouraging villagers'participation in the management and operation of ICH to ensure its sustainability and vitality. The collaborative efforts aim to integrate traditional culture with modern society, promoting cultural and social development.
