Landscape Renovation of Old Residential Areas Based on the Livable Community Concept:A Case Study of Yuhua Xincun in Nanjing
Building harmonious and livable cities has become a key objective in China's urban development.This requires rethinking the renovation of old residential areas from the perspective of livable communities.Guided by the connotation and evaluation standards of the livable community concept,this study identifies mismatches between the current conditions of old residential areas and livability standards.It conducts a targeted exploration of landscape design renovations,using Yuhua Xincun as a case study.Proposed strategies include enhancing greenery and functionality of activity plazas,making efficient use of fragmented spaces,improving public roads and parking facilities,enriching green environments,and implementing age-friendly upgrades to public facilities.These measures aim to provide residents with a more comfortable living environment,while strengthening community cohesion and a sense of belonging.
