BIM Direct Design of Low-rise Brick Residential Buildings Based on Revit Secondary Development
Brick masonry exhibits excellent decorative qualities, durability and sustainability.Due to the diversity of brick shapes, color matching, structural forms and masonry methods, traditional CAD design method cannot completely express the masonry detailing nodes and wall-column modeling block arrangement methods, which brings confusion to engineering construction. For low-rise brick buildings not exceeding three storeys, secondary development based on Revit software was conducted.Utilizing Revit API functions and programming in C#,a three-dimensional BIM direct design software for low-rise brick buildings was developed. The practicality of the software was tested through engineering examples, and the results show that the software can avoid secondary deepening design, improve the design efficiency, and make it possible to realize fine construction management for exterior-complex decorative brick buildings.
