Flexural Performance of Closely Jointed Composite Concrete Hollow Slabs
A novel prefabricated hollow floor slab system is proposed, featuring closely jointed prefabricated concrete hollow floor slabs connected with additional steel reinforcement. This approach ensures efficient force transmission between precast panels, addressing challenges such as low construction efficiency for heavy-load and long-span floor slabs. To verify the structural performance of the system, two test specimens were designed to study the failure modes,load-displacement behavior, stiffness degradation, and deformation capacity of closely jointed composite concrete hollow slabs with joints.Test results demonstrate that the mechanical properties of the prefabricated specimens, including stiffness,load-bearing capacity, yield load, and ultimate load, are comparable to those of cast-in-place specimens. The jointing method for the proposed closely jointed composite concrete hollow slabs is proven to be reliable.
