Finite Element Simulation Analysis of Deep and Large Foundation Pit Excavation Based on ABAQUS
Deep and large foundation pit excavation and construction stages face challenges such as poor soil stability and high construction management risks.Using the ABAQUS finite element software, excavation modeling under different working conditions was performed, and a layered excavation simulation method for deep and large foundation pits was proposed.Simulation results show that during the first excavation stage,if no reinforced concrete support is provided at the bottom,an upward soil displacement of approximately 10 mm occurs at the base of the foundation pit. After the support is installed, the displacement decreases by 6 mm.Furthermore,as the excavation depth increases, the radiating area of the displacement cloud in the middle of the soil expands, and backfilling the foundation pit reduces base stress and displacement. This study provides theoretical guidance for the design and construction of deep and large foundation pit excavation projects.
