Quality and Safety Control Throughout the Entire Process of Existing Building Renovation
With the advancement of urban renewal, the number of existing building renovation projects is increasing rapidly.Taking the Datianwan Municipal Engineering building reinforcement project in Chongqing, the first case of excavating a sunken underpass within an existing old building,as an example, this paper discusses the quality and safety control throughout the entire process of existing building renovation. The paper divides the quality and safety control of existing building renovation into three stages:risk anticipation in the inspection and identification stage, risk assessment in the reinforcement design stage, and risk management and control in the reinforcement construction stage.Through comprehensive inspection of the original structure,a basis is provided for design;the reinforcement scheme is determined through static risk assessment of the feasibility and technical implementability of reinforcement and renovation;and the safety of the original structure is guaranteed through static and dynamic risk control during construction. The paper also introduces the use of an intelligent monitoring system for real-time monitoring of structural deformation of the building. The successful implementation of this project provides valuable reference for similar projects and is of great significance for ensuring structural safety during the renovation of existing buildings.
