Inert Gas Jet Collaborative Control of Flame Oscillation and the Performance of NOx Emission
Premixed combustion often encounters problem such as thermoacoustic oscillations,which seriously re-stricts the safe operation and cleaner emissions of gas turbines or oil and gas boilers.Therefore,it is proposed to use inert gas jet to regulate the premixed combustion process,thereby achieving synergistic control of flame oscilla-tion and NOx emissions.Inert gas jet will cause the transferring of oscillation modes in premixed flames,which can reduce the amplitude of flame oscillation and change the frequency of flame oscillation.The argon gas with a higher atomic mass has better controlling effects than the helium gas with a lower atomic mass.Inert gas jet can significant-ly change the flame structure and shorten the length of the premixed flame.
