摘要

随着数据流量需求的快速增长,云无线接入网(cloud radio access network,C-RAN)以其资源虚拟化、协同处理、高能效性和网络智能化等特点,成为满足未来高容量、低能耗和低成本需求的关键技术之一,受到了广泛的研究关注.资源的按需分配是C-RAN中的关键问题.提出了 一种基于远程无线头(remote radio head,RRH)分簇映射的C-RAN虚拟化按需资源分配策略,在保证用户服务质量(quality of service,QoS)的前提下,以最小化系统能耗为目标,联合优化协同波束赋形、RRH选择和虚拟基带单元(virtual baseband unit,vBBU)配置来降低网络整体能耗.RRH选择和vBBU之间的制约关系使得问题高度复杂.采用分层聚类分析算法对RRH进行分簇,利用信道状态信息进行RRH簇的最优分配,并为每个协作簇部署一个vBBU进行基带处理;在已知vBBU配置后,对簇内的RRH波束赋形进行优化并激活相应的RRH子集.实验结果表明,所提策略可以显著降低网络能耗.

Abstract

With the rapid growth in data traffic demand,cloud radio access network(C-RAN)has emerged as a key tech-nology to meet future requirements for high capacity,low energy consumption,and cost efficiency.Its features,such as re-source virtualization,cooperative processing,high energy efficiency,and intelligent networking,have attracted widespread research interest.However,on-demand resource allocation is a crucial issue in C-RAN.This paper proposed a C-RAN vir-tualized on-demand resource allocation strategy based on remote radio head(RRH)clustering mapping.The goal is to mini-mize system energy consumption while ensuring user quality of service(QoS).The strategy jointly optimizes cooperative beamforming,RRH selection,and virtual baseband unit(vBBU)configuration to reduce overall network energy consump-tion.However,the constraint relationship between RRH selection and vBBU complicates the problem.Therefore,this paper is divided into two steps to solve the problem.A hierarchical clustering analysis algorithm is employed for RRH clustering,using channel state information for optimal RRH cluster allocation,with each cooperative cluster deploying a vBBU for baseband processing.Once the vBBU configuration is determined,the beamforming within the RRH cluster is optimized,and the corresponding RRH subset is activated.Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed strategy significantly re-duces network energy consumption.
