Access point selection technology for cell-free massive MIMO system based on artificial bee colony algorithm
To enhance the performance of access point(AP)selection schemes in cell-free massive multiple input multiple output(MIMO)systems, this paper proposes an AP selection algorithm tailored for users in cell-free massive MIMO envi-ronments,integrating zero forcing(ZF)precoding technology with the artificial bee colony(ABC)algorithm.By employing the ZF precoding algorithm, all APs participate in precoding based on the signals each user needs to receive, thereby gen-erating the corresponding precoded signals. For each user, the ABC algorithm is utilized to derive the AP selection scheme with the objective of maximizing the user's channel capacity.Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed AP selection scheme for cell-free massive MIMO systems outperforms schemes without AP selection in terms of channel capacity perform-ance.When there are 5 users,a signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)of 40 dB,and 40 APs,the channel capacity achieved by the proposed AP selection algorithm is 14.8 bit/(s·Hz),which is an improvement of 5 bit/(s·Hz)compared to the algo-rithm without AP selection.
