Study of the Evolution on the "ZhuLibu" in Ruan Xiaoxu's QiLu
Ruan Xiaoxu's QiLu established the foundation for the classification of historical works in ancient China, particularly in the field of cataloging. The category known as ZhuLibu has been subject to varying interpretations over time. The Paper argues that the large number of QiJuzhu has provided the conditions for independent classification in the Wei Jin Southern and Northern Dynasties. Meanwhile,a large number of historical records called "Li" appeared. Because of the similar styles and contents, they are collectively referred as "ZhuLibu". In the book of SuiShuJingJiZhi(Abbreviated as SuiZhi),the QiJuzhu is independent, and the historical records of "Li" is incorporated into miscellaneous history. The change of its name is the same as that of the "ZiBinglu" in QiLu,the SuiZhi are collectively referred to as the Zi.The naming and change of the "ZhuLibu" is the reflection of the development of historiography and the serious loss of historical records in the bibliography from the Wei Jin to the Sui and Tang Dynasties.
