This article is based on the rich collection of ancient woodblock printing in Shanxi and summarize research status.It sorts out the existing Shanxi Buddhist woodblock printing of different historical periods in chronological order,delves into the historical information,analyzes the issues of place names and personal names,and explores the distribution of Shanxi Buddhist sects,which has displayed by these Buddhist inscriptions.It provides important information for the study of the history of woodblock printing in Shanxi and Buddhist practitioners,regions,and sects of Shanxi Buddhism.
