The Literary Value of Song Dynasty Local Gazettes in the Supplementary Notes of Complete Works of Song Poetry Criticism——With a Focus on Continuation of Records of Kuaiji
The complete works of Song Poetry Criticism edited by Mr.Wu Wenzhi is by far the most comprehensive book of Song Poetry Notes,which encompasses not only individually compiled Song dynasty poetic discourses but also organizing scattered poetic commentary from various Song dynasty writings.Due to the incomplete collection of information in the book,a lot of information about Song dynasty poetic discourses has been omitted.For example,there are only 30 poems in Poetic Discourses by Zhang Hao,which are compiled from Zhanghao's Yun Gu Za Ji.In fact,more than 90 entries of poetic discourse can be compiled from Zhanghao's Continuation of Records of Kuaiji,which is three times as many as the original book,and only in this way can we reflect the whole picture of Poetic Discourses by Zhang Hao.
