New Perspective on the Orthodoxy in Chen Shou's"Three Kingdoms Chronicle"
From the analysis of the text,it can be seen that in Chen Shou's"Three Kingdoms Chronicle",Cao Wei was regarded as the orthodox,Sun Wu as the tyrant and puppet,and Shu Han was the political power between the orthodox and the puppet.The"Three Kingdoms Chronicle"claims that Liu Bei"lowered his hands beneath knees",implying that he is not a Han royal bloodline but a minority and does not have the qualification to be an emperor,rather than the divine feature of a future emperor as understood by later generations.The orthodox view of"Three Kingdoms Chronicle"holds an important position in the history of historical thought,especially in the history of orthodox ideas.It establishes the core position of the orthodox theory of the Three Kingdoms in orthodox discussions and also establishes a paradigm for the orthodox writing of historical books.The ancients'theory of orthodoxy is not a binary opposition model of"between orthodoxy and falsehood"should be given sufficient attention in the study of orthodoxy.
